Woolworthy was a midwestern power-pop band hailing from Chicago, IL from May 1995 - Jan 2005. Consisting of singer/songwriter Rudy Gonzalez, bass player Rick Uncapher, drummer Mark Doyle and guitarist Dave Suh (with 5th member Alex Acevedo), the band's sound was often compared to Green Day, The Replacements, Superchunk, and early Goo Goo Dolls. The band self-released 2 full-length CDs, put out a CD EP and a retrospective CD on Boss Tuneage Records UK, and appeared on Chicago-radio-giant Q101's "Local 101" CD.
