About Woody Whatever
Woody Whatever began in 2001 in Dayton, Ohio as a 4-track recording project for then-18 year old Erik Schmall. His debut release, "Roar,"' a collection of nine lo-fi, jangly-pop songs, was named a "best of 2001" by Indieville.com. Over the next five years, Schmall continued to write and record, producing 15 more albums. Three years in the making, Woody Whatever's 16th release, "System Off," is also the debut release of his new label, Chiefly Music. Schmall is currently based out of his home studio in Philadelphia.
