Windsor Airlift are an American ambient post-rock band formed in the fall of 2002 in Owatonna, Minnesota. The band originally consisted of brothers Andy and Tony Johnson along with Adam Young. Though Young would depart in 2009, the brothers have continued as a duo ever since. Initially a pop punk band, the trio self-issued their debut release, The Basement EP in 2003. Subsequently the band abandoned nearly every aspect of pop punk as they began writing music influenced by acts such as Unwed Sailor.
