Whippersnapper is the name of at least two bands: 1) an American five-piece melodic punk band that formed in 1992 and disbanded in 2002 2) an English folk-rock "super-group" formed in 1984 and led by ex-Fairport fiddle player Dave Swarbrick 1) Whippersnapper was an American five-piece melodic punk band, formed in 1992 hailing from Atlanta GA. Their music was fast paced punk with a melodic touch, much in the vein of Lagwagon, Strung Out, etc. Whippersnapper released 3 albums in their career, the first released in 1998 and the last in 2002.
