Wes Willenbring learned piano at an early age and eventually turned to the guitar as his primary instrument. An interest in recording techniques and the aesthetics of sound soon led to a disturbingly large collection of recording equipment and endless nights of experimentation. After years of writing and recording music both solo and collaboratively in Chicago he now calls San Francisco his home. His three albums for Hidden Shoal Recordings, Somewhere Someone Else (March 2007)
