About Wendy Quinlan
The Australian flautist Wendy Quinlan studied with Vernon Hill at the Canberra School of Music. She graduated in 1983, winning the prize for "Student of the Year". In 1984 she won a Swiss Government Scholarship to study with Peter-Lukas Graf at the Basel Music Academy and in 1987 was awarded the Soloist Diploma. Specialist studies for baroque flute followed at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. From 1981 to 1984 she was principal flute of the Australian Youth Orchestra.
