About Weichafe
Weichafe is a hard rock band from Santiago, Chile. The band started in 1996 with the initial formation of Angelo Pierattini on guitar and vocals, Marcelo da Venezia on bass and Tata Bigorra on drums. In mapudungún, the language spoken by the native Mapuche people of Chile, weichafe is the word for "warrior". The band released five albums between 1999 and 2007, touring many cities all over the Chilean territory. They have also played in Argentina, sharing the stage with bands like La Renga and Carajo.
