This whole thing started as something of a joke between myself and I. I found myself sitting on my floor with my guitar, pedalboard, amp, and This Will Destroy You's self-titled album playing in the background during finals week of 2010. I was stressed. Used up. Freaked out. The semester had been a blur of jazz, church gigs, poems, short stories, novels, esoteric discussions, and emotional rollercoasters. I was in need of a reprieve. A moment of quiet.
