New Jerusalem started out as a side project from Mike Burns and Joel Lamb in 2008. The goal initially was to infuse folk and electronica music together in a way that hasn't already been done. With emotional lyrics as the focal point and a digital take as the color; the two have compiled a strong offering of songs for an entire record. Working now with Matthew Slaven of Clearfield Studios in Simi Valley, CA. "Love Overruled" is the title of the first single from the record; due to release late March 2009.
