WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search The WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, officially the Sinfonieorchester des Westdeutschen Rundfunks, also known as the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra or WDR Symphony Orchestra, is an orchestra in Cologne, Germany. It was founded in 1947 by Allied occupation authorities after World War II. It is known for its performances of twentieth-century music, especially Karlheinz Stockhausen.
