Wckr Spgt (Wicker Spigot) is an experimental lo-fi band from Claremont, CA that started in 1981. The band gained some recognition when John Peel began playing their song "Francis Mitterrand," an ode to the long time French president François Mitterrand. The band also had several contributing guests over the years, mostly fellow Inland Empire residents, notably John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats and Franklin Bruno, Kyle Brodie and Peter Hughes of Nothing Painted Blue.
