Wavespan formed in early 2003 as the shared creative vision of Phil Garrison and Alex Lumb. Their self-titled debut album was mastered by noted ambient musician Robert Rich, and released in 2006 on Monotonik. The release itself drew comparisons to The Orb, The KLF
