About Wang Yong
A famous Chinese conductor, Wang Yong was born in Shanghai in 1947. Since 1967 he has been working as a conductor with the Orchestra of Shanghai Film Studio. He has conducted modern Beijing opera "On the Docks" and a number of film scores, including "Below the Bridge". In 1986 he was awarded Shanghai Municipal Prize of Arts and Literature.
