Vivian's "singing" career began at the age of four, as for the first time she sang in the gospel choir of the familiy's own baptist church. From this moment on, she was always called up to sing a solo every Sunday morning. At the age of 12 she was singing with friends in a rap group. At the age of 19 she became the female vocalist of a rap and R&B group. Her father – Vance Kelly – then took her under his wings into the blues scenery in the year of 1997.
