Straight From My Heart Vivian Buczek CD (Item 468199) Lovestreet (Sweden), 2007 -- Great work from a contemporary European vocalist -- one who easily shifts between influences from soul jazz, bossa nova, and older torch jazz -- all presented beautifully here with small combo backings! Most of the lyrics here are in English, and there's a warmly soulful feel to the record that reminds us a bit of recent jazz sides from Carmen Lundy and Dee Dee Bridgewater -- quite good company
