About Virre
Actually there are two kinds of Virre. At first there was just Virre: Virre is a four-member acoustic band, majoring in lively traditional dance tunes, with occasional pieces more tranquil and lyrical. ”Virre“ combines traditional Estonian violin music with improvisational skills, adding tunes originally performed on other instruments, as well as arrangements of folk songs. “Virre” represents the stylistic diversity of Estonian folk music – amusing and entertaining
