Veretski Pass plays Village Klezmer, traditional folk-music from Eastern-Europe. Klezmer were the Jewish musicians in Eastern-Europe before WWII. After the war the Klezmer culture mainly flourished in the USA, before becoming nearly extinct until the worldwide revival in the seventies/eighties. Cookie Segelstein and Joshua Horowitz also perform in the band "Budowitz", named after the brand of the accordion Josh plays. This is a restored antique accordion or squeeze box, dating about 1890.
