Verdine White was with his brother Maurice from the beginning around 1968 right after the salty peppers. Verdine is probably one of the most serious bass players ever, check out his riffs on "Pride' from the "Faces" LP. Verdine Learned from or was mentored by Louis Satterfield a member of the band's Pheonix Horns. Verdine wrote a lot of songs for the group along with Larry Dunn, Al Mckay, Philip Bailey, Ralph johnson and of course his big bro' Maurice.
