About Vasile Pandelescu
Vasile Pandelescu was born in 1944, in the Gaesti village, Dambovita, Romania, from a gypsy family. His father was a cymbal player, whom he inherited the love the music from. He picked up the accordeon in 1956, at the age of 12. Three years later, he becomes appreciated in his native village. He plays in different groups until 1969, when he joins master Gheorghe Zamfir's group whom he goes abroad with to tour in different countries, the most notable ones being SUA and UK.
