Zespół powstał w listopadzie 2001 z inicjatywy Damiana Bednarskiego (gitara), Wojtka "Vojcisza" Dąbrowskiego (bas) oraz Leszka Satro (bębny). Wówczas postanowiliśmy nazwać nasz zespół DEPRESSION, lecz okazało się, iż taka kapela istnieje, więc zmieniliśmy szybko nazwę na CONTRADICTION. Wkrótce dołączył do nas na bardzo krótko (jedna próba) Szymon "Głupi" Dobrosielski(gitara). Nie zagrał już więcej, z racji swych małych umiejętności.
