From the first note to the last beat, live or on disc, no words better define the horn-powered ska of Umbrella Bed than “controlled chaos”. Formed in 1995 as ska music was catching on in the mainstream for the third time, Umbrella Bed rode the “3rd wave” through the end of the 90’s. UB’s style, reminiscent of the “2nd wave” sound of popular Two-Tone English bands like Madness, The Specials and the English Beat, established Umbrella Bed as a mainstay in the club scene.
