Tyler Futrell, born 1983 in northern California, studied primarily with Bent Sørensen and Hans Abrahamson at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (2004-06), and with Lee Hyla at the New England Conservatory (2000-2003). He also attended the Aspen Festival and School’s Advanced Film scoring program (2000), Ecoles d’art Américaines du Fontainebleau (2004) and Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (2007), as well as working residencies at O Espaço do Tempo Rui Horta, La Comédi de Reims and Teaterhögskolan i Malmö (2005).
