
About Tristan Keuris
Tristan Keuris (October 8, 1946 - December 15, 1996) is a Dutch composer. He received his first composition and theory lessons in Amersfoort (with Jan van Vlijmen) and later he studied at the Utrecht conservatory with Ton de Leeuw. In 1969 he received the conservatory prize for composition. Firstly he taught theory at the Groningen conservatory, later on composition at conservatories in Hilversum and Utrecht. In 1976 he received the Matthijs Vermeulen prize for his orchestral work Sinfonia (1972-74).
