Totem was a Uruguayan rock band that was active during the early 1970s, more specifically from 1971 to 1973. Playing a mixture of rock, candombe and jazz, the band's sound is instantly recognizable and separates them from other Uruguayan bands. Despite their short-lived career, they're fondly remembered as one of the national treasures of their homeland.
