
Tom Fairnie was born in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, and although he started writing songs when he was 15 he didn't start performing until 2000. He writes and performs songs in a variety of genres ranging from traditional folk, contemporary folk, acoustic, americana and country. He has had radio play in the UK, on the continent and in the US and Canada. He has played various festivals including Tinto, Raglan, Edinburgh and the Taybank, has toured the Netherlands twice and is about to embark on a German tour.
