Dundee born Elsie MacDonald is an emerging alt-folk singer-songwriter calling Edinburgh home. Moving from Dundee to Edinburgh inspired Elsie to write the song ‘Tourist Town’, an ode to the tension between the everyday lives of Edinburgh locals and those who come to marvel at the city’s beauty. Tourist Town was played on BBC Introducing Scotland. Drawing comparisons to Frightened Rabbit and Tracy Chapman, Elsie’s unique delivery and insightful lyrics create a sonic space for the listener to immerse themselves in.
