Tina Refsnes is currently based in Oslo, Norway, but spent years in Liverpool, UK, where she played a great deal of gigs, wrote a bunch of songs, drank a lot of tea and travelled great distances by train. The songwrting is often compared to that of Kate and Anna McGarrigle and Neil Young, and her sometimes ironic lyrics and link to the english new-folk scene is also caracterizing of her music.
