THRU THE REAR VIEW was the idea of Oscar Andreas Martinez, who lost his life on October 24th 2006. He thought of the name while driving his new car down the road when he saw a sign for new drum sets, and said "Hey, look through the rear view mirror." He quickly came up with the name THRU THE REAR VIEW. Martinez had grown up listening to a band called At.The.Drive.In, and he wanted to amount to something equal or larger than that band. For those who do love and enjoy TTRV, thank you for your love and support!
