About Thijs Cuppen trio
Thijs Cuppen was born in 1976 in Deurne, The Netherlands. He started playing classical piano at the age of four, and developed a fascination for jazz music while studying psychology between 1994-99. He studied jazz piano at the Amsterdam Conservatorium between 1999-2003 and was twice a finalist at the famous Dutch Jazz Competition. Thijs currently leads his own trio, plays piano and fender rhodes in the Susanne Alt Quartet, is in constant demand as sideman throughout the Netherlands
