About The Velvet Smash
Retro-futuristic lounge music from Madison, Wisconsin embracing mainly 60's classics, female vocals backed by brass, vibes, rhythm, and accordion. They began as the Chick Singer Band, but changed it to The Velvet Smash in May of 2012, and then went into the studio to record a new album which debuted on December 29, 2012. Members: Anna Purnell – Vocals Geoff Brady - Vibes Michael Brenneis – Drums Kia Karlen - Horn and Accordion Greg Smith - Bari Sax and Clarinet
