About The Sweetarts
The Sweetarts was an American garage rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 1965. Pat Whitefield played early on with the Sweatarts who recorded on the Sonobeat label, was part of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and a huge part of all things Antone's. A longtime member of the Angela Strehli band, Pat was also one of the house bass players for Antone's backing so many of the Blues greats that came through town. Died August 5, 2019
