About the static silence
The Static Silence formed in late 2002 when Rachel (experimental aircraft, eau claire, monster movie) visited Matt (air formation) for the first time in Brighton, England. Hove, actually. They never really thought too much about playing music together until near the end of her visit. Matt showed Rachel a song he wrote and she added an improptu guitar part as well as vocals to compliment what matt was singing and playing. It was a short 15 minute session of creation that is captured on a mini-disc somewhere.
