About The Skamatics
The Skamatics are a ska punk band hailing from Miami, Florida. They formed in 2006 with the original members as Ian Kaplan on drums and his good friend Patrick Patterson on trombone. Eventually, they found Andy Vila, a bass player, and after finding the main set-up for a basic band, they began searching for more horns to complete their ska outfit. The saxophonist came next, Kenny, and their new trumpet player, Julio shortly followed. They began recording their first EP, From Yukon With Love, while gaining Andy Anaya as a second guitarist.
