About The Sins of Thy Beloved
The Sins of Thy Beloved was a death-doom and gothic metal band from Bryne, Norway, active primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band was formed in November 1996 by Glenn Morten Nordbø, Arild Christensen, and Stig Johansen. Originally called Purgatory, they changed their name shortly after formation. Vocalist Anita Auglend and bassist Ola Aarrestad joined soon thereafter, and the band recorded their first demo "All Alone" in early 1997.
