About The Ravers
There are at least four groups called The Ravers. 1. Known as the 'Jamaican Shadows', The Ravers were an instrumental Jamaican band associated with Lee 'Scratch' Perry and The Upsetters. They feature on a few split 45s on Upsetter Records from 1969, with tracks such as 'Badam Bam' and 'Dirty Dozen'. 2. The Ravers were a short-lived punk rock band from Los Angeles, CA, United States, who made one album and the EP It's Gonna be a Punk Rock Christmas! (1978), which many thought was from the U.K.
