The Parallels / Belgium Formed in 2022 as a gang of 17-year-old classmates from Wheatley Park School near Oxford - the very same school that spawned Supergrass exactly 30 years earlier - The Parallels bonded over shared eclectic music tastes and a penchant for stripy tops and wearing sunglasses after dark. Musically, the band fuses the warm rhythmic grooves of Bossa Nova, influenced by guitarist Kay Carrascoza's Brazilian roots, with their introspective lyricism of British icons like The Smiths and The Specials
