About The Pants Situation
The Pants Situation formed when they were still in High School. Dan Laplante (Bass, Synth, Tambourine) Greg Newman(Lead Guitar), and Joey Mooney (Drums) all attended the same high school. They met Brady Kirchner (Vocals, Rythm Guitar), and thus the band was formed. They played Battles of the Bands, and recorded their first EP, "The West Ocean" all before breaking into the Calgary rock scene. The first taste was experienced playing a 15 minute set in 2004, opening up for the Stars Here and several other bands at Carpenters Union Hall.
