About The Oxnards
Formed in 2010 in Akron, Ohio, the Oxnards epitomize unhinged, stimulant-fueled, rust-belt barroom rock. Described as "rigorously retarded," the band hides their nuance behind a wall of hooks and riffs and barely-controlled spastic stage presence. The band consists of Wes Cowie on vocals and rhythm guitar, with the Jeffs on lead guitar and drums. Says frontman Wes, "every band these days wants to incorporate the next Peruvian flute player; we just wanna rip."
