
Coming out of the late eighties garage-rock revival scene of New York City, The Optic Nerve are something of a wonderful enigma. Rather than measuring out bland anti-establishment rants and bursts of pseudo-revolutionary blah-rock, they chose instead to hark back to the days when rock was loving crafted. With a style reminiscent if not derivitive of the Byrds, they stuck to their guns, going so far as to not get signed by any major labels.
