About The Ophelias
There are at least two bands known as The Ophelias. 1) A San Francisco based band from the late 1980s led by multi-instrumentalist and singer Leslie Medford. Pulling influences from all over the place, with a special nod to prog rock and the works of Peter Hammill, The Ophelias were one of the more refreshing and original bands around the San Francisco Bay Area at the time. 2) The Ophelias are a band inspired by nostalgia, nature, the Midwest, horror movies, and the moon.
