
The Opals were an all-female vocal group, emerging from the thriving Chicago soul scene of the early 1960s. The lineup consisted of Rosie Addison , Nyra Tillison and Rose Jackson , who were all graduates of Morgan Park on Chicago's South Side. They Began as backing singers for Otis Leavill , before releasing four singles of their own on the Okeh label.
