The Northwestern were an indie-pop band formed around former Hope Of The States, Thee Dust Rackets and Troubles duo Sam and Simon. The line up consisted of: Sam Herlihy-Guitar/Vocals (Hope Of The States/Thee Dust Rackets/Troubles) Simon Jones-Drums (Hope Of The States/Thee Dust Rackets/Troubles) Francesco Menegat-Bass Jon Winter-Guitar (The Open) Ian McCullagh-Guitar Their first full tour is in May/June 2009 with a release date for their debut single, the AA side "Telephones"/"All The Ones" was released through Friends Vs.
