The Nivens were an indiepop sensation from Northumberland in the north-east of England. They were active from 1987 to 1990 and released a flexi and 2 singles. Their debut single Yesterday was originally released on the Woosh label in January 1989 (reaching the indie top 10) and was recently re-released on the Optic Nerve record label.
