About The New Grand
The New Grand is a Canadian indie rock band from London, Ontario, Canada. Known for their explosive live shows, they released two full-length albums on Sonic Unyon Records. Original members Michael "Good Burger" Clive, T. D. Smith, and Patrice Von Morgan met in high school in the early 1990s. They were joined by guitarist Malcolm "Little Slippers" Scott. Scott, part Cree, learned his instrument from his abusive alcoholic uncle. Their first album, The New Grand, appeared in 1996 and was met with rave reviews and modest sales.
