About The Minor Birds
Formed in Warrington, United Kingdom, in 1962, The Minor Birds ran the local folk club, performing on the same bill as invited guests of the calibre of Paul Simon and The Incredible String Band throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s their line-up comprised the Froggatt brothers, Norman, Jack and Colin, Alton Alexander and teenager, Sue Waywell. It was this line-up that recorded a self-titled album in 1972. 250 copies were pressed and sold only to members of the Warrington folk club.
