About The Methanol
(The) Methanol is a project founded by Finnish producer Sauli Pietikäinen back in 1995, with the famous Amiga 600 + Octamed Professional v4.0 tracker. Early Amiga releases were published in a very small underground circle of people. At 1999 Methanol's first track composed on PC, called "Kaamos" was released at ModPlug Central, being the first world wide release. Methanol's style varies from ambient to gabber, but generally the genre is techno/house.
