There are probably thousands of bands called 'the mermaids' add to the wiki as you find them: [1] The Mermaids are Hillel Arnold (guitar, bass, vocals) and Josh Gardner (guitar, harmonica, vocals). After releasing several independent solo records, the two began playing together in 2004 and almost immediately earned a dedicated following. To generalize very broadly, Josh leans more toward pop music and Hillel leans more toward folk and country. If you pushed them to their logical extremes
