The Medicine Line was officially born in Boston, MA in 2000, when lifelong friends Ryan Brooks and Christian Soule got together to try writing a few songs. Christian's knack for writing catchy, punk-inspired hooks matched wonderfully with Ryan's expertise in music theory and composition. The band soon produced a couple self-released EPs and picked up momentum, playing shows throughout New England. When original drummer Ben Koller left the band for a full-time gig with Converge in 2002, Ryan already had a replacement in mind.
