About The MDH Band
Million Dollar Hotel was a screenplay that Bono had co-written for a movie. Bono brought this script to Wim Wenders who agreed to direct the film, and the film was produced throughout 1999. In the meantime Bono signed on as executive producer of the soundtrack, and not only helped with the production, but also performed on the majority of the tracks on the album. There are three U2 tracks on the album. "The First Time" is the same version of the song which had originally appeared on 1993's Zooropa album.
