About The Marvellos
An R&B vocal group from Los Angeles, California, USA, comprising Jesse Harris, Milton Hayes, Harold Harris, Willie Holley and Lance Porter. The group was formed in 1963 and first found success locally with ‘She Told Me Lies’ for Exodus. It raised enough interest for Warner Brothers Records to pick it up and release it on its Reprise Records label. The formation of Warner Brothers’ R&B subsidiary, Loma, saw the Marvellos joining that label in 1965.
